Victoria Pearce

<p>Victoria recently graduated with First-class Honours in Part I Architecture from the University of Westminster. She has a keen interest in the design of community-run public spaces and her socially driven ethos is reflected across all her work. </p> <p>For her final year project, titled "The Thames as a free machine," Victoria addressed the limited access to the Thames by proposing a Pop-up parliament for environmental research and community interaction. She also explored the potential of the Thames as a free energy source for low-income households, addressing both land use issues and the energy crisis.</p> <p></p> <p>In her thesis, titled "Architectural interventions in Italy’s inner towns, a compelling new model for social integration," which earned her the Katherine Shonfield award for best dissertation, Victoria explored how interventions in public spaces and adaptive reuse of neglected buildings in Italy can foster non-segregated spaces, serving as a vital resource for the integration of immigrants and marginalized communities.</p> <p></p> <p>Before studying architecture, Victoria pursued womenswear design at Central Saint Martins and London College of Fashion. She then worked as an event organiser and set designer in London. More recently, she combined her architectural studies with practical experience in Brussels, working alongside Salotto Buono on the Rotunda stage for the Horst Arts and Music festival.</p> <p></p> <p>Beyond architecture, Victoria enjoys cold-water swimming, contributes to stage design and build for music events, and has a passion for tailoring.</p>
